Unlocking untold stories at the intersection of technology, the world's favorite institutions, and human experience. Through Instagram Spark AR Effects, museums around the world are re-invisioning selected works of art and telling new stories. The Virtual Wing Kits
Virtual Wing aims to scale these stories to educational institutions and schools, where kids may not be able to visit museums on a regular basis. These kits will be distributed complete with cardboard 'museum wings' to assemble, miniature target AR cards, and devices. Bringing this experience to schools far and wide will expose children to the exciting and educational possibilities of art.
Each kit is designed to be expanded in volumes when each new set of effects are ready to launch. A main starter kit includes large blank cards, small blank cards, and art cards along with an educational curriculum and how-to instructions. Utilizing an Eames card style, each card slots into another allowing for a vastly diverse assortment of "museums". With each art card facing outwards, students can use their phones to explore their self-made gallery and experience the Virtual Wing right in their classrooms.
